中华厨王之厨王之王
本剧以凤城市委为了向全球推广凤城的饮食和旅游文化，特举办了首届“全球华人中华厨王争霸赛”，邀请全球有华人血统的厨师汇聚凤城交流厨艺比赛，争夺“中华厨王”的称号。凤城已经过逝的国宝级大厨师黄师傅有三个徒弟：阿中、阿华、阿仁，他们于15年前，黄师傅过逝后不久便分开了。阿中留在凤城开了一家餐饮店“龙腾山庄”，他秉承师父的遗训“真心实意，真材实料”做人做事；阿华贪恋西方的生活，嫁给一个美国华裔，移居到了美国，不久后却因为性格不合而离婚。阿仁偷渡去了香港，因为黑户的身份，在香港也很难生活，只是靠在小餐馆打零工渡日。分散近15年的师兄（姐）弟，在“全球华人厨王争霸赛”的召唤下又重新一起相聚在凤城，共同研讨当年师父留下的“天下第一菜”的菜谱。但这“天下第一菜”的菜谱看似简单，实质却是很不同寻常，艰奥难懂。众人经过几番曲折之后，定下心来细细思量，才真正领悟了师父的本意，才真正领悟了厨房的终极秘密。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
