赤裸裸 Naked (1993)
冷酷粗暴的流浪汉约翰尼（大卫·休里斯 David Thewlis饰）来到伦敦寻找自己的前任女友路易丝·克兰西（莱丝莉·夏普 Lesley Sharp饰），从一座失业问题严重的工业城市曼彻斯特来到交织在光鲜与黑暗中的大都市伦敦。约翰尼结识了路易丝的室友索菲（凯特琳·卡特利吉 Katrin Cartlidge饰），两人当天就在公寓做了爱。一觉醒来，已经爱上约翰尼的索菲得到的却是约翰尼一副玩世不恭的冷面拒绝。愤世嫉俗的约翰尼不仅仇视女性，也痛恨着自己与他身处的一切。他冷漠地与陌生女人做爱，绝望地与这个世界暴力相向。 本片荣获1993年第46届戛纳电影节主竞赛单元-最佳导演大奖，男主角大卫·休里斯凭借此片荣获最佳男演员奖，本片也同时入围第46届戛纳电影节主竞赛单元-金棕榈奖。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
