别名: Der hei szlig;e Tod / Island of Despair，一个女记者为调查小岛女子监狱的黑暗,孤身一人以合理借口入驻此监狱。在这里,她目击了监狱女犯们的种种不幸和遭遇。有的女犯在别的女犯掩护下,冒死与前来给监狱送工料的猛男火速偷情；有的女犯因不从狱长夫妇的残酷管理,遭到的是更无情的折磨以至就地QB；有的女犯在没有男性的监牢管制下,自动或被迫与同监牢女犯宣泄肉欲；有的女犯眼看脱逃,却终被再次捕获投进狱中,等候她们的是惨烈的尖叫和痛不欲生的严惩。影片最后,女记者机密带着她第一手材料,痛苦地走向监狱大门。一个长镜头,一个渐行渐远的背影,留给观众的是一颗揪着的心、是一份沉甸甸的考虑。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
