 源氏たちは大帝都信販との戦いの後、自己破産専門の代書屋「ライジング・サン」を立ち上げ、正攻法（と、言うにはいささか問題があるが）で借金地獄に苦しむ人を救い続けていた。一方、町の良心的な消費者金融会社『新珠金融』の婿養子で現社長・新珠昭一は、債務者の自己破産の多さに頭を抱えていた。しかし「困っている人をさらに追い込んで人道にもとる商売は出来ない」という先代からの教えを守り、破産者をうわべながらも笑って許す日々を送っていた。一方で新珠金融の元社員で、その非道な手腕のために前社長の手によってクビになった男・豊富福次郎は大手金融業から自己破産者の焦付き債権を買い叩いて回収する裏金融を営んでいた。その自己破産者から取り立てるという無法非道にして外道な手口は、あらゆる人々を破滅に追い込み、また借金苦故の犯罪者をも生み出していく。さらに収監中の債務者の元にまで親族からの手紙に似せた返済督促状を執拗に送り付け、彼らを徹底的に追い詰めていた。新珠金融も豊富に破産者の債権を売る付き合いがあった。しかし昭一自身は豊富の『商売』には全く気付かず、ただ彼が善意で救ってくれていると思い込んでいた。そんなある日、豊富は昭一に対して言葉巧みに個人名義で豊富自身の営む金融会社からの借金の連帯保証人となるように仕組む。彼の狙いは新珠金融の乗っ取りにあった。連続する自己破産。追い込まれる昭一。そして、ついに新珠金融は倒産し豊富の手中に落ちる。豊富はさらに昭一に個人名義の借金の返済を迫るが、その金利ギリギリの無謀な額に昭一はさらに苦しむ。挙句の果てに自らが自己破産をせねば明日はないほどに追い込まれてしまう。「ライジング・サン」のトビラを叩いた昭一。そこには、新珠金融が潰れる前に融資を求めてきた債務者たちがこぞって自己破産申告にやって来ていた。「最初から返す気はなかったのか」と怒り狂い「お前たちのせいで会社を潰された」と源氏たちにつかみかかる昭一。事情を聞いて驚く源氏たち。さらに詳細な事情を聞くために昭一の家に訪れた源氏たちは、そこで豊富の悪らつな差し押さえ現場を目の当たりにする。「生活に必要な家財道具の差し押さえは禁じられているはずだ」と抵抗する源氏だが、豊富は「生活に必要な道具などない。人間はいざという時には穴の中でも暮らしていける」と源氏たちを嘲り笑う。源氏たちの魂に火が点いた。源氏は昭一とその家族に頭を下げた上で「自己破産の手伝いをさせてくれ」と申し出る。手続きは順調かつ滞りなく進んでいたが、事件はその時に起こった。豊富は昭一に保険金からの返済捻出を迫り、昭一もまた精神的に追い込まれてとうとう自殺を図ったのである。幸いにも昭一は一命を取り留めたが、これでは自己破産後もさらなる取り立てが続く事は必至だった。新珠一家を救うべく、源氏はついに「ミッドナイト・ラン」の復活を決意する。

等待方舟

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

太空运输

　　23世纪中叶，地球已进入全面崩溃的阶段，战争和传染病让这颗原本美丽的蓝色星球破烂不堪，人类被迫离开赖以生存的家园，远赴外太空寻找新的栖息地。凭借TSA先进的技术，木卫五成为充满希望的新兴乐土。在此之后，大批地球人乘坐飞船前往木卫五，地球逐渐被人遗忘。　　然而就在此时，不断有人起来反抗，声称要推翻TSA利用机器对人类的麻醉和统治，并据此不断向空间站发起恐怖袭击。美丽的劳拉·波特曼博士（Anna-Katharina Schwabroh 饰）随一艘货船前去空间站看望亲人。在长达4个月的旅途中，大部分人需进入睡眠状态。劳拉担任了值班的任务，然而在这静寂的飞船里，似乎有其他人在暗中窥视着她。一桩桩阴谋渐渐浮出水面……

鼠胆威龙
