上海的退休工程师老汪与儿子有一个约定，每周六小汪会回父母家一次，顺便吃碗老汪拿手的菜肉馄饨。为了让儿子早点结婚生子，老汪在爱人素娟的启发下，决定自己去公园相亲角为儿子物色一名婚恋对象。在相亲角，老汪结识了老金、美琴、阿芳等人，自己也无意中卷入了一场始料未及的情感漩涡之中。
